Programs following Dante Alighieri's regular course curriculum
Universities and colleges seeking to integrate their students into the Dante Alighieri Siena world-renowned language course curriculum have the following possibilities:
a) The students can be placed in Dante Alighieri Siena INTERNATIONAL CLASSES (min. 5 - max. 12 students per class - lessons are 60 minutes) together with other students coming from all over the world and with the same Italian language level. At the beginning of the program Dante Alighieri Siena teachers will evaluate the students' level with a written placement test and a short oral interview. Students follow the Dante Alighieri Siena LANGUAGE SYLLABI for Italian Programs in Italy that have been studied according to PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) framework and the Framework of Modern Language edited by the European Council of Modern Languages. Students take weekly quizzes, a mid-term and a final exam which have been specially created in agreement with the Language Department of the Foreign Institutions and the Director of the Program.
b) Students take Italian lessons EXCLUSIVELY with students from their own institution and according to the number of hours previously determined by their University. The classes are formed by the Language Department before the arrival of the students. The University and/or College Department agrees with Dante Alighieri Siena on a syllabus at one or more levels. The Dante Alighieri Siena faculty follows the approved syllabus/i and administers quizzes, as well as mid-terms and final examinations.

Let Dante Alighieri Siena develop a customized hands-on cooking program for you!
Whether you are a U.S. institution of higher education with a group of students for a full quarter program or a Study Abroad Tour agency for a one-day lesson while touring Siena, Dante Alighieri - Siena will custom-make a cooking program which will be an unforgettable experience. Our English coordinator will brief your students on the magic of Tuscan cuisine before the course starts; which can be given in either English or Italian.
We are proud to have wonderful chefs who have been with Dante Alighieri for over 20 years. Our dining room sits up to 50 students comfortably. For those wishing to incorporate Italian studies, we can arrange to have the cooking courses taken contemporaneously with any of the Internships, Italian language and Culture courses we offer.
