1. MINIMUM AGE – If the school should accept a student under the age of 18 years it's not responsible for the supervision of these minors after lesson time. This remains the responsibility of the parents or legal guardians.
2. FEES INCLUDE - Lessons, Certificate, use of library and self-study center, Social activities if not various indicated.
3. FEES DO NOT INCLUDE - Textbooks, Accommodation, Examination Fees, Transfer from and to the railway / Airport, Bank charges, Insurance, Internet-point access and other fees not expressly mentioned under the title “fees include”.
4. ENROLMENT AND PAYMENT - Applications should reach the school office at least 30 days before the beginning of the course together the deposit (30% of the TOTAL fee; course fee + administration fee + accommodation fee). In case of last-minute enrolment (less than 15 days of the beginning of the course) it is necessary to pay the total fee in full (sending us by fax/email copy of the bank transfer) or sending us credit card details in writing, authorizing us to charge the total fee immediately (in case of no show no refundable is possible).
5. BALANCE - The balance must be paid at least 15 days in advance of the course’s starting date. In case of no show the student authorizes us to charge on its credit card (without any extra request of charging by the school) the total fee.
6. METHODS OF PAYMENT - To be admitted into the course you will have to produce evidence of payment. Payment can be made by:  Bank transfer, Cash or Credit card. A transaction fee will be applied when you pay for new bookings by Visa credit card, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express. Credit cards incur a percentage charge of 2,5% of the total amount payable, with a minimum charge of € 5.00 
7. ACCOMMODATION – The accommodation is booked from the day before the beginning of the course (usually Sunday) until the day after it finishes (usually Saturday). Different arrival or departure days must be request in writing and confirmed from the school in writing. For any accommodation reservation the school requires a credit card  information as guarantee. The school will send you (by email or fax) the address of your home in Siena usually 2 weeks before the beginning of your course and only if you have paid the TOTAL fees (course + accommodation + administration fee). If any damage is incurred by the student to property of the school or belongings to third parties contracted by the school, the cost of these damages must be settled immediately and payable to the school. SDA Siena expects all students to respect the right of follow students to a safe and orderly environment within the school and host families. Students are responsible for the day to day cleaning of their room/apartments. Check in time is 02:00 pm and Check out time is 11:00 am
8. TRANSPORT - Monthly bus passes are available to our students at a discounted price. We offer, at charge, an airport pick-up service to Siena from Pisa, Florence, Bologna and Rome.
9. POSTPONING - In case of postponing the beginning of the course the following penalties will be applied: between 2 and 1 week (any penalty fee for the course, 50,00 Euro of penalty fee for the accommodation), less than 1 week (any penalty about the course fee, one week accommodation fee for the accommodation) 
10. STUDY GRANTS - 30% reduction (minimum registration 4 weeks) for grants awarded by the Italian Foreign Office, 10% discount on all course prices to members of the Clergy, members of the Società Dante Alighieri (minimum registration 4 weeks), Erasmus students based in Siena (minimum registration 4 weeks) 
11. STUDENT VISA - Western European citizens do not require a visa to enter Italy, if they don't plan to stay longer than 90 days. Citizens of other countries should contact their nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate to check the details regarding entry permits. Our Certificate of enrolment fulfils one of the requirements to obtain a visa. This certificate can only be issued by our Committee after a registration has been received and the registration fee paid. You are responsible for obtaining visas and for any visa-related expenses (Federal express cost (Euro 35,00) will be added to the fees);
12. COURSE CHANGES - If the student decides not to attend classes or to shorten the course, he/she is not entitled to any refund. Deposit and fees are not transferable from person to person. Course level: If you wish to change your course level, you must consult the Director of Studies, Minimum numbers: The school reserves the right to offer an alternative course of equal value in the event of insufficient applications for a course.  
13. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS - No lessons will take place on public holidays as indicated on the Date & Price page. No refund will be made for these lessons.
14. RESPONSIBILITY - The school reserves the right to exclude a student from the school or accommodation if they are acting in a way which is detrimental to the school or other students. In such cases, the school is under no obligation to make any refund or cover any expense brought about by this action. The school is not liable for the loss, damage or injury to persons or property.
15. INSURANCE - Students are advised to take out medical and personal insurance before leaving their home country. Moreover, students are also advised to insure themselves against loss of fees through non-arrival, absence for any reason or unforeseen termination of their courses.
16. PERSONAL DATA - The participant authorizes Sienalingue srl to include her/his personal data on a mailing list for the purpose of enrolment. The participant may also periodically receive informative, publicity or promotional material. The participant may at any time, in accordance with Italian law (art. 13, 675/96), request that her/his personal data be removed from the mailing list of the School.
17. CHANGING IN COURSE PROGRAMMES AND PRICES - The schools reserve the right to modify their course programmes and prices.
18. ACCEPTANCE - By signing the registration form or any other written form of registration, the participant accepts the "General Conditions of Participation" and in particular in case of no show he/she authorizes us to charge on his/her credit card (without any extra request of charging by the school) the total amount.
19. CANCELLATION POLICY - Notice of cancellation must be given by registered letter, telegram, fax. We will issue the refund directly to your agency and we will ask the students (or whoever paid for the course) to contact you directly for the refund.  The refund will be in the form of a Credit Note or check.  Of course refunds will be paid within 30 days of the cancellation date just as before. More than 30 days before the beginning of the course only the registration fee is non refundable; From 30 days and 15 days before the beginning of the course 30% the deposit (30% of total fee) is non refundable; Less than 15 days before or after the start of the course 100% of the TOTAL fee is not refundable.
20. LANGUAGE OF THE LESSONS - in keeping with communicative teach methodology, all of our lessons and activities (such as language course, gastronomy course, orientation trip, cultural seminars, etc) are conducted in Italian if not otherwise specified.

The programmes shown in our web-site/brochure are only indicative, the management reserves the right to alter dates, times and contents of courses at any time. On your arrival at the school we will give you the revised schedule. The school reserves the right to adjust fees in the event of particular international monetary situations.
