Art and Cooking - Italian culinary school
Art and Cooking is the gastronomy department of Dante Alighieri school in Siena. The courses take place in a large newly furnished and fully equipped kitchen in the center of Siena where participants can work "HANDS-ON" under the guidance and expertise of a chef. Each session foresees the elaboration of a full menu from antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto, contorno and dessert. Intensive courses are scheduled around a specific theme. The lessons help to develop the study and use of ingredients, through step by step "hands-on" cooking lessons, concluding in tasting what you have prepared in the frescoed dining room or in the schools panoramic terrace. Intensive culinary courses are generally held in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to study Italian language or to discover the medieval city of Siena and its treasures. The school is a fantastic meeting point for culinary lovers of all ages and nationalities creating an international friendly and "tasty" atmosphere.
