Our italian language school offers a wide range of italian language courses and cultural courses suitable for all ages and for students from all over the world. You can choose to attend group course (standard, intensive or super-intensive), individual course, combined course (group course in the morning + individual courses in the afternoon) or attend the preparation course for the PLIDA certificate examination or decide to attend directly the Official examination. Our italian language school was founded in Siena in 1979. Since that time, we have been welcoming students of a wide range of nationalities and all ages to study language, art, culture and cookery in the center of this charming medieval city.

 

Italian cooking school

We find Italian food as an essential part of our nation's culture and so think it is important to give people from other countries the opportunity to study our cuisine, at our italian culinary school, as well as our language and culture in order to get a real taste of La Dolce Vita ! Our italian culinary school offers cooking courses for amateur or professional, culinary session and cooking training program. Our courses have a thematic flair which includes special seasonal recipes as well as traditional Italian and Tuscan cookery.  Encounter the culinary arts like never before by creating wild meat and poultry dishes and delectable torts and cakes in the winter, fresh vegetable and meat dishes in the spring, tasty fish cookery in the summer and sample truffles, cabbage, chestnut and mushroom dishes in the fall.

 

 

The city of Siena

"Cor magis tibi Saena pandit" (Siena opens its heart more than its doors to you). Siena is a city of contrasts - from medieval treasures found within its historic walls to modern shops and facilities located around the city. Enjoy the tranquility found in the hidden back streets or experience Palio preparations, races and celebrations which go on in the main squares for over half a year. It is a small city but has a large student population (of both Italians and foreigners), meaning that there are plenty of places to go and things to do in your free time - from bars and clubs to restaurants and pizzerias; from theatres and cinemas to museums and art galleries.

 

 

Social activities

Every month the Committee organizes social and cultural activities, such as film-shows, lectures and talks on various aspects of Sienese and Italian culture (for example, the history of Siena and the Palio, Italian Opera, music, politics, fashion etc.), excursions to places of relevant cultural interest and guided tours of Siena.
