We can book a range of accommodations for you during your stay in Siena (home-stay, apartment, residence, hostel, Hotel and Villa). Rooms will normally be available from the Sunday before your course starts until the Saturday after it finishes. We ask you to book your accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment (especially in summer months) and we will send you full details approximately 2 weeks before your course starts. When you have your accommodation details, it is very important that you contact the owner/family a few days before you arrive to let them know at what time you expect to get to Siena on the Sunday. Payment should be made directly to the school within a couple of days of your arrival. We offer a pick up service from Florence, Pisa and Rome airports (details on request). Monthly local bus passes are available at a special reduced rate.

General information about the accommodation

Availability : Rooms are available from the Sunday (after 2:00 pm) before your course starts until the Saturday (before 10:00 am) after it finishes. If you need to arrive a day earlier or stay a day longer, please contact our accommodation office. Different arrival/departure dates must be confirmed in writing from the school.
Details: We will send you full details approximately 2 weeks before your course starts. Some days before your arrival it is very important that you contact the owner of the apartment, the landlord or the school to communicate the date and time of your arrival in Siena.
Reservation & Payment: To make reservation for the accommodation in Siena, we need your credit card details as guarantee. The payment should be made, in full, at your arrival in Siena.
Location: Our accommodations are located in the city centre (maximum 15 minutes far from the school by foot) as well as outside the city centre (maximum 20 minutes by bus + 20 minutes by foot). If your accommodation is out of the pedestrian area and you need a bus pass to reach the school or the city center, if you need some bus tickets you can ask directly to the secretary or receive directly at home before your arrival in Siena. The city centre of Siena is a pedestrian area only so it's impossible to enter and to park a private car. If you are thinking to arrive in Siena with your private car please contact our accommodation office to book an accommodation outside the city centre.
Bed lines, towels & washing machine: Bed lines are provided and changed every two weeks from the owner of the apartment (landlord), but you should carry with you the towels. In the family is not possible to use the washing machine without the landlord permissions; usually it is not for free.
Administration fee: 70,00 Euro for person for accommodation booking service  – non refundable – to be added to courses tuition fees
Example: Double room in apartment for 8 weeks: 210,00 Euro (first 2 weeks) + 100,00x6 (6 extra weeks) + 70,00 (admin. fee) = 880,00 Euro per person;
Home-stay
(starting on 140,00 euro first week)

Home-stay is good for students who wish to practice Italian daily and not only at the school. We can book single or double rooms with half board (breakfast and dinner included) in one of our carefully selected families. This is an excellent opportunity to make use your Italian on a daily basis and sample the delights of Italian home cooking! Double rooms are for students travelling together only.

Meals
In Italy, the breakfast, usually consists of tea or coffee, butter, bread and marmalade. The dinner is served around the 8:00 pm.

House rules
Please take note the following house rules:
- You can't use any family property, tools, etc without the landlord permission.
- You can't prepare meat by yourself without the landlord permission;
- you can't use the washing machine by yourself without the landlord permission (usually is not for free)
- you can use the iron board;
- you can use the common rooms;
- you must take presentable your room;
- the room (if not closed by key) is cleaned periodically;
- you can't accommodate anybody in your room without the landlord permission;

Young hostel


The Youth Hostel is a little outside the centre of Siena (about 15 minutes by bus). Rooms are normally double and bookings are not normally accepted in advance.

 

Apartment
(starting on 120,00 euro first week)

This solution (private room in an apartment with Kitchen and bathroom shared with other students and/or owner of the apartment) permits a considerable independence. The number of rooms per flat varies from 1 to 7. Double rooms are for students travelling together only.

Meals
In this solution you have no breakfast and dinner included.

House rules
Please take note the following apartment rules:
- we have booked for you a private room (bed linens are included) but you share the kitchen (full equipment) and the bathroom (towels are not included) with other students and/or owner of the apartment;
- You can prepare meat by yourself or with the other students in the shared kitchen;
- Electricity, water, gas, local costs and taxes are included in the price;
- Usually in the apartment there is no public telephone;
- you can use the common rooms;
- before your arrival your room will be cleaned. During your stay, you are responsible for the cleaning of your room and from the common and shared rooms;
- you can't accommodate anybody in your room without the landlord permission;

Siena has a wide range of hotels, from 1 to 5 stars, in the centre of the city and in the surrounding countryside. For further details please contact the accommodation office stating which category of hotel you are interested in.
